Michelle Williams - Figure Competitor

Most importantly, I am an average person with a lot of drive to achieve their goals. In my regular day to day grind I am a middle school ELA teacher and a Bodybuilder on the side. I started this journey in June of 2018 and did really well my first season. I am Nationally Qualified in Bikini and Figure. It has been a long hard road. Right now I am prepping for the Knoxville Classic 2019. My husband and I have invested quite a small fortune into this already. Honestly if I could get a company to sponsor me that would be amazing. I actually was able to become sponsored by a Competition suit company this season. But not only am I a teacher I am also a mother to two of my own children and stepmother to one of my husbandís kids.

What I am trying to say is between working, being a mom, and all the time that I have to put at the plate and in the gym, I really donít have time to try and sale a product for another company. The best I can do in that aspect is wear and/or use the products they have and tag them every time I post (and if youíve looked at my page at all you can see thatís a lot of posting). Yes, that is a win win for both the company and myself but I have time for not much else in my life. The summers are kind of a down time for me in the sense that school is out. That time is for me to recoup and spend more time at the plate and in the gym.

My diet changes from bulking to cutting. In a bulk obviously more food in than exercise out. Lots of red meat. And in a cut, a lot more cardio, and less calories in. The only real thing that didnít work for me was trying to massively bulk. My metabolism is crazy. I would literally have to eat and lay around and do nothing to grow. Bulking season almost always has to be when I am not in school because I have to teach all day and bulking requires me to eat all day long.

The confidence that oneís needs to go on stage and compete was not hard for me. I love the stage and I am very proud of the way I look. I performed in plays and sang in choirs growing up so I have no stage fright.

I donít do hardly any cardio during bulking season and a lot of cardio during a prep. Always lifting and growing in the gym.

One of my favorite stories to tell is how last year at the Knoxville Classic I was able to help out some newbies and make them have a good experience for their first time. Being an athlete I have to say really helps me in my classroom. My students are so motivated by my fitness that they just love to talk about it and encourage me. At this point I am not completely sure what the future holds for me. It all depends on how I do next weekend.
