First of all, I have to tell y'all that this weekend was so so special to me. I could never say thank you enough to all who came to be a part of our special weekend. My second NPC, my second class win, my second Bikini Champion Overall and the perfect end to an amazing first season.

This show was a bit different from the last. We decided to do our own tan this time instead of paying for the one at the show. So, my coach applied my base and top coats using ProTan's DIY products. IT LOOKED FLAWLESS. I was very pleased with the end result. I also had my friend curl my hair while I applied my own makeup. I have learned the art of competition makeup and it has become my favorite part! Despite all the rain we had over the weekend trying to wash off my tan, we managed to come out on top with the winning package once again!

This sport takes a whole lot of time and a whole lot of patience. But with perseverance you can over come any obstacle!

We celebrated our victory as a team afterward of course! With cheese dip and salsa, pizza, burgers and beers! But it's not off season for me, it's now improvement season. We are already working on our package for the future.

2018 Midway USA Overall Bikini Champion! (Her first NPC show).

Lynsie: I have always sort of had a love for the stage. I have held several local titles in the past and decided that I would take a long year off from competing in 2016. I wanted to get my priorities in order and build a better physique. So we did just that and took several months researching and studying the NPC. I picked a show that was 24 weeks away, that I had teammates already attending and decided to give it all I've got! As you know, it went very well! We took 1st in Novice & Open leading up to Overall in both of those categories.

My diet doesn't really change much from improvement season to show season. I keep it pretty clean year round, with the exception of holidays and family events. My caloric intake is pretty much the only thing we change. With that being said, the last two weeks before the show, I did keep it as simple and as clean as possible to avoid any irritation in my body, breakouts and stress.

Being in the spotlight has never really bothered me. I was an athletic individual through out high school so I never really feared being the center of attention. Though, once you are wearing quite a bit less and you're on stage being judged, it does get pretty tough. You have to be comfortable with your body before you put yourself out there for the world to judge. You have to have confidence in yourself and be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished. It takes lots of practice and a few people telling you how amazing they think you are in order to be fearless in the pursuit of your dreams. Once you have a support system and you are proud of all you have, including your flaws, you can stand in front of crowd and be judged because no matter what the outcome, you are still going to love yourself and be so proud that you had the guts to stand up there.

My program consists of different types of resistance training. I really enjoy strength training! I feel like that gives me a more athletic look and I like that. I don't do much cardio. We do incorporate HIIT training 1 or 2 times a week. I just keep the rest time low inbetween sets and pick up as much as I can while keeping good form and hitting the correct rep ranges.

Becoming the Club Manager of an Anytime Fitness really helped me in so many ways. It allows me the freedom to train whenever I want and I feel that it helps hold me accountable for setting a good example for all of our members. So being as fit as possible is an absolute no-brainer considering my office is in the gym!

My first NPC show was the Midway USA Championships May 19, 2018. I was very nervous considering I only had information from watching YouTube videos and friends' past experiences. I just didn't know what to expect! Once we were checked in, I became more anxious to learn than nervous I would fail. I knew I couldn't fail because I had done everything in my power to be ready. The spray tan situation though was NOT my favorite. When we were all backstage ready to start prejudging, I made friends with a few of the girls and that made the whole experience better! Surprisingly, everyone was so nice and helpful! Who knew that the other girls were nervous too! I got to hear amazing stories from some of these girls and really grew more proud of my journey as the night went on and it showed. I have never felt more at peace with myself and all that I had accomplished up until that point. I was more comfortable on stage than I thought!

I absolutely love being an athlete and a role model. I want women every where to feel empowered and know that if they can dream it, they can do it! I dream daily of how I'm going to be as a Pro Athlete. I want to change as many lives as I can and show people that a little girl from a small town can do big things if she doesn't let anything stop her.

Thank you so much for hearing my story. It was an honor to be on stage with all those beautiful women.
