Julie Vnh - Bikini Competitor

I started the competition in 2016 after 3 years of anorexia. In bikini, this day is the best day of my life, I continue the competitions every year.

When I prepare a competition, carbohydrates decrease and advanced proteins. I cycle my carbs. I eat 5/6 times a day, proteins and fats (avocados, chicken), carbohydrates (rice or sweet potato) are around my training. Failed diet: Protein exclusivity, it does not work, I lose a lot of muscle mass.

I always commit myself before going on a stage. When I'm on the stage I forget the stress, the hunger, the thirst and the pleasure it brings me.

I train 6/7 days in bodybuilding and I add 20 minutes of cardio at the end of the session before the competitions. Training: around 12 hours per week
I train every day from 6 am to 8 am
Monday: legs
Tuesday: Shoulders
Wednesday: legs
Thursday: back and arms
Friday: pecs and legs
20 minutes of cardio after each session.

I work my weaknesses more often. When I prepare a competition, I work my posing about 2 hours per night after my work for 1 month before the competition. To combine my work and my training, I leave home at 5:30 am, I come home at 9:00 pm every day. Sunday is my only day of rest.

The days of competition are the most beautiful that we can live. I meet people animated by the same passion as me and we become friends, we see each other on the following competitions. Sharing the stage with athletes is a rewarding experience, I learn my mistakes to improve for the future.

Being an athlete: It's not a problem in my private life, my friends, my family has always known me.

I am preparing a change of category. After becoming vice-champion of France in the bikini category, I will continue competitions in category figure. My biggest challenge: one day I hope to have the level to participate at Olympia
