Jessica Miller - Bikini Competitor

I was always very athletic growing up. I played soccer and just about any other sport out there. I started working out at the gym at 17 and decided to compete after having my first daughter in 2013. I then got pregnant again and had my second child in 2016. I didnít want to give up my dreams of becoming an IFBB pro so I started competing again last year won the overall at the NPC Southeastern USA. I did Miami nationals in November and got first call outs. Placed 8 out of 35 girls. Since Iím nationally qualified I am now headed to Jr. USA in May.

Obviously my diet will consist of more calories when Iím off season, but honestly Iím never really off season as I like to compete year round. Itís my passion. I like to rotate my carbs and fats through the week. So on a higher fat day I will have a lower carb intake. That is what I have found is most effective for my body. I eat anywhere from 6-7 meals a day and everything depends on how far I am out from a show or how my body is reacting.
Honestly, I had a coach prior to the one I have now and was given all the wrong info in doing a bikini show. Unfortunately, I was given the same replica meal plan that other clients were given with no emphasis on the fact that my body structure and end goals were completely different. I am very blessed that I have found the right coach and researched and have figured out what is right for me and my body now.

I have a very structured regiment when it comes to training. Everyone is different so I donít really think there really is a right or wrong way when it comes to training. I think it depends on the person and how their body reacts during prep. I do 30-60 mins of cardio 6 days a week. I also lift 6 days a week as well. Balancing training and diet is easy for me. I meal prep every Sunday for the week and I workout around my work schedule and no matter what I get it done. No excuses. I am a very structured person so without it I loose sight of my goals.

Iíve always been a very confident person. Iíve also always worked my tail off for what I wanted. Training hard, practicing your posing, and eating correctly all definitely help with progress and seeing the body change. I definitely think those play a huge part of how you can bring your confidence to the stage. When you feel and look good your confidence increases significantly!

My most recent contest was Miami Nationals. It honestly was nerve wracking at first, but I knew what I was there to do and that was to be noticed and get my name out there. I did just that by getting first call outs. I felt extremely confident with the package I brought and with how my body reacted up to that day stepping on stage. I canít wait to step on stage again in May 2019 at the Jr. USA.

I am a mom of two beautiful little girls 3 & 5 so it definitely can be difficult and stressful at times, but just like anything else in life you canít make excuses. You have to make your dream a priority and figure out what works for you. Itís all about how bad you want it.

Ok letís talk #realtalk for a moment... obviously there are years in between these pics. I started competing after having my first little nugget (pic on the left). I then got pregnant again, ended up getting divorced (while pregnant), & I lost sight of who I was and what I wanted in life, but during some of the hardest times of my life I stayed #consistent in the gym. If there was ?? thing I can thank GOD for during those times its the pathway he was paving for me while all of this was happening and keeping my faith strong ???? in the fact there was something bigger coming for me. #health & #fitness were my saving grace. I no longer look for other peopleís approval i have found myself & what makes ME happy. So if youíre someone who is going through a hard time, have FAITH, get up and get active, & start making yourself happy! Stay true and consistent in what youíre trying to do bc letís be honest when you look and feel good you preform better! So get it stop making excuses and #justdoit . . . #npcbikini #roadtopro #ifbbbikini #fitnessmodel #procardhungry #npc #npcnationals #igdaily #fitnessmotivation #fitnessgirl #fit #fitnesstransformation #thursdaytransformation #tbt #takemeback #lifestyleblogger #fitspo #fitmom #fitmomsofig

My future plan is to step on stage in May at the Jr. USA in hopes of winning my pro card. I also want to put myself out there more so I am modeling on the side and stepping outside of my comfort zone with anything else that comes my way.
