Jaslieza Scott - A New IFBB Physique Pro!
2017 NPC Junior Nationals.

Jaslieza: I've always had an interest in fitness. I wanted to get back into shape after high school. So I signed up for a planet fitness membership. When I went to go workout I did upper body one day and lower body the next day. Did about an hour of cardio. And started portioning out my meals. I started seeing results and actually wanted to become a fitness model. I decided to go checkout some new gyms. Where I signed up at golds gym. There were a lot of people at golds that competed. That took my interest even further and they gave me names of coaches to look into. Now three years later I'm hooked and there's no looking back. Competing is life! (:

Diet: Off season and pre contest are pretty close to the same. Off season my portion sizes are bigger and I'm able to have a little bit more fun with my meals, I.e; sauces, seasonings. Pre-contest is strict, portion sizes, 6 to 8 meals a day depending on how close I am to show day. I can only have hot sauce, mustard, vinaigrette. Seasonings without the "bad" salts. Sometimes I'll have to carb cycle. Good fats will be taken away from me closer to show day as well.

I've only stuck to one diet plan so far and it has done wonders. There might be a few tweaks here and there but I don't see a point in switching it up if it's working out well.

For about 4 to 6 weeks I'll lift heavy weight for less repetitions. Then for the next 4 to 6 weeks I'll lift moderate for higher reps. In season I'll do about 30 to 45 minutes of cardio depending on what I need. Off season about 15 to 20 minutes just to stay in shape.

When I was in high school I was in competitive cheerleading. I was terrified to be in front of people. But being on a team it made it so much easier to get on the mat and do my thing. That being said getting on stage now is so much easier! It's still a little scary to get up there by yourself and do a routine. But when you have this body you worked so hard on, that itself gives me the confidence to strut my physique. I love to show off and have people watch me. I have so much fun on stage and everyone can tell by my smile.

I recently competed at Jr. Nationals in Chicago, Illinois. From day one when I decided to go to this national show I was nervous and excited all at the same time! I didn't know what to expect! I wanted to do my absolute best! I didn't want to let my supporters down. This was only my second time competing in the women's physique division and first time ever at a nationals! It was a roller coaster of emotions! When I got to Athlete Check-ins I was very nervous but it was simple. The next day was prejudging. I expected to be a ball of nerves.. but I wasn't. I was so ready to step on stage. I had a blast, I loved being up there doing my thing! I got first call outs and immediately moved to center stage. Then was asked to step off stage. At that point I had a feeling I was gonna go home with my pro card! Finals was the next day, where the top five girls got called to do their posing routine. I did my posing routine to Girls wanna have fun by Cindy Lauper. Very catchy and great choice for my personality! Right after our posing routines, it was time to announce the winner. I won! All the hard work and long hours in the gym paid off! I was finally an IFBB Pro!

Being an athlete makes it hard to have a normal life. My life is catered to bodybuilding. You will either see me at work or at the gym. There isn't enough hours in the day to be able to hangout with friends and family or be able to go do something fun. It's a little more lenient when I'm not prepping.

Future plans now that I'm a pro is to do my first pro show in November. If I do well and depending on judges feed back I wanna try to win an Olympia qualifier. So make sure to watch for me!
