Kelly Richards - Physique Competitor

My name is Kelly Richards and I'm a three year competitor for NPC woman's physique. I started with coach Fred Biggie Smalls and we reigned undefeated 2016 and 2017. I recently competed in 2018 NPC Master's Nationals and got 11th and 15th out of 22 very formidable competitors from across the US. It was a little disappointing but definitely an eye opening experience that I needed to level up my game. Today I am training with coach Steve Webster as a T-Zone Diva.

I'm honored to represent the memory of my dear friend IFBB PRO Tracy Hess who passed this year unexpectedly. It was a huge loss for me as it was many. Today my efforts are made helping other woman achieve their fitness goals as a personal trainer. My diet consists of fish, eggs, turkey, steak, brown rice sweet potatoes, avocados, almonds, and tons of veggies.
Finding the right diet has been tricky for me. I struggle with thyroid disease and it affects my weight in prep. I have found keeping my fats moderate but natural sources such as avocados and almonds are key. My T3 levels will fluctuate with the large weight drops and keeps things interesting lol. My training is very consistent but finding time is a challenge. I'm a single mother, police officer, and a personal trainer with a long work day. If it was easy everyone would do it.
