I started my fitness journey about 3 years ago going to free bootcamps provided by Herbalife. After a few months I was hooked on working out and needed something more challenging. I did my research and chose to get a membership at Anytime Fitness based on the location, type of equipment offered, and overall friendly feel of the gym. I found out about my current trainer, TeamJesBon, and we got in touch and discussed my goals. I first wanted to only gain muscle and be stronger. After about 3 months I realized what a passion I had for fitness and nutrition and wanted to take my goals even farther so I reached out to TeamJesBon on getting a program started for competing. She designed a unique training guide for me and now here I am, hooked on fitness!

My diet on-season is much more basic and geared towards nutritional value, not taste. Off-season is the time where I make meals with different food and experiment with recipes. I've found success in keeping my meals basic, healthy, and whole. I will have a protein shake once a day after strength training and a BCAA drink during my workout. All of my gains and muscle has come from hours and dedication in the gym. I carb cycle to keep my body guessing which has really given me an edge on this journey!

I have only used TeamJesBon's diet plan that has given me great results! Basic, whole foods. No steroids, supplements, or anything else to change my body unnaturally. So many people try the fad diets that are only attainable for a short while and then when they fall off the plan they go back to their original weight and size. Keeping your nutrition as whole as possible with no pills or additives is the best way to keep your results.

My training program consists of AM cardio, hiit, rowing, Olympic weight lifting, and normal strength training. My cardio shifts as my body changes. I balance my training and diet by always having my meals prepped and ready to be portioned out. I have a 6-pack lunch bag that keeps my food cold from morning to night and has been a lifesaver when I need to leave my house at 6am and don't get home until 9pm. Fail to plan, plan to fail.

I built my self confidence based on my drive and determination to not let anyone or anything get in my head. I worked extremely hard on the physique I brought to the stage and no one was going to take that success away from me. Anyone that is judging a woman in a bikini is either jealous or not confident enough to get on that stage herself.

I have only competed in one show so far but I would say that prejudging went much better than I expected! It was slow paced, and all the movements were basic commands being called out to us. There was no fear of messing up because the judges told you exactly what stance to move to.

Becoming a bikini competitor has completely changed my outlook and personality! I have gained so much confidence and my attitude has changed from "I hope they like me" to "I don't care if they like me or not, I am who I am". It is so important to be yourself and be proud of who you are inside and out. I've learned so much about myself and how far I can push my limits that I know no one can belittle my ambitious dreams.

I have a show coming up in October that I am training for right now! It will be twice as big as the first show I competed in and I can't wait to try to keep up with the big dogs that will be there!
