Anna Caldwell - Figure Competitor

It was my first year this year.. kinda got talked into it by friends. I used to be really over weight and got serious about losing lbs. (85+ to be exact) and fell in love with everything fitness.

As far as diets on the off-season I just eat healthy but eat a lot more so that I can put on muscle this will be my first actual bulk so I'm not exactly sure how this will turn out for me it's kind of an experimental process. But off-season is definitely a lot more lenient and eating a lot more food and then pre-contest is about tapering down the calories slowly and eating cleaner Foods the closer you get to show day so that your body will lean out naturally and increasing the cardio of course.

Confidence: I think it's something you either have or you don't I hate being on stage but I worked so dang hard and came so far it was worth it

Well it's off season so I've got about eight months before I start another cut for a show. So right now it's 50% carbs 30% protein 20% fat give or take a little bit my calories are about2000 + a day right now.. lifting using compound movements heavyweight 4 to 5 days a week making sure I get rest so that I actually build muscle and no more than 2 to 4 days of cardio at 30 minutes each

Oh my gosh I was a wreck as a female especially I think we have it in us that we always think we could have done a little better or in a little leaner or noticing the competitors around us in feeling intimidated. But I met so many great people and had such a great time I would do it again in a heartbeat. I actually felt a really weird calm before I went on stage and I don't remember much about being on stage to be honest. It all went by so fast and then afterwards was this amazing feeling of accomplishment having Place II in my first show.

Being athlete changed my life and adding competitions to that mix drives me to work harder and stay as healthy as possible. Because now that her eyes watching me sometimes when it's just doing it for ourselves we can let things slide and take it easy on ourselves. But for the most part my biggest focus is healthy lifestyle for my family I have kids and husband I want to be around 4 not to mention it is so much fun showing my little ones the ropes when it comes to exercising and health

I'm definitely going to rock out a couple more competitions before the clock strikes midnight on this old gal. I learned a lot this time around next time I'm taking first.
